PULSE
Pulse is a conceptual smart wall clock that reimagines the role of a traditional clock as a proactive visual communication device for modern homes. It serves as a lifetime companion by providing personalized, ambient information through AI and subtle visual cues.
a lifetime companion
Background
In the 19th–20th centuries, two devices were commonly found in every household: the radio and the wall clock—the former for verbal communication, the latter for visual information. While radio has evolved into two-way smart assistant devices (e.g., Alexa, Siri), the wall clock remains largely unchanged.
why clock?
The wall clock was chosen because it is one of the most familiar and universally accepted objects in our daily environment—always visible, yet often overlooked. Its passive presence makes it an ideal platform to quietly deliver meaningful information without disrupting the user’s space or routine.
HOW PULSE?
Pulse is a reimagined evolution of the conventional wall clock, designed to support modern lifestyles. In today’s high-tech society, most home devices are becoming increasingly intelligent—yet the wall clock has remained largely unchanged. Pulse transforms this everyday object into a smart life companion, helping users navigate their day with greater ease and convenience.
TWO WAY TRAFFIC COMMUNICATION
Pulse offers multiple interaction modes: a calm, purely visual display that blends seamlessly into the environment, and an optional voice-based mode for more direct, proactive communication—allowing users to choose how they want to engage, without disrupting the natural flow of daily life.
